As per Wikipeda, Within Peru, the desert is described as the strip along the northern Pacific\u00a0coast of Peru in the southern Piura\u00a0and western Lambayeque regions, and extending from the coast 20\u2013100\u00a0km (12\u201362\u00a0mi) inland to the secondary ridges of the Andes.
