Largely a British Columbia ecoregion, it covers most of the north-central part of the province. It also extends northward into a significant area of the Yukon Terrritory southwest of Nahanni National Park and extending northwest to the Faro area. A tiny sliver of the Northwest Territories south of Nahanni Park is included. Finally, the western arm of the ecoregion also extends slightly into the Yukon, south of Whitehorse.
